Commemorative or Wedding Pens

There are nearly as many different styles of pens that can be used as a wedding pen or other commemorative pen as there are brides. Virtually any pen style on my website with the right materials could be used as a commemorative pen. Shown here are a few I have on hand and many I have made in the past to give you some ideas for your special pen. Because some people may have an engraver they prefer, prices do not include engraving. There will be an additional $15 charge to have the pen laser engraved.

Gemstone Mother of Pearl    $70
Gemstone is created from approximately 85% natural stone ore. The ore is pigmented, compressed into blocks and impregnated with approximately 15% acrylic gem resin. This pen uses black titanium and titanium gold plating for the fittings and has a Swarovski crystal in the clip. "Parker" style refill. This pen would make an excellent wedding pen.

White Wedding    
White wedding is an acrylyc acetate. Turned to size on my lathe and then highly polished. After laser engraving the engraving was backfilled with gold paint.

Deer Antler    $100
No animals were harmed in the making of this pen. Elk, deer and moose lose their antlers every year and grow new ones. Since it takes a lot of energy to grow antler the size of the antler is an indication of the general health of the animal. This particular antler turned out almost perfectly white something seldom seen looking very much like ivory, making it an excellent choice for a wedding pen. This pen could be engraved with names and dates for an additional $15 charge.

Something different than your traditional wedding white. In this case 2 pens one for the bride and one for the groom were chosen and the colours picked to match the wedding colours. Turned to size on my lathe and then highly polished. After laser engraving the engraving was backfilled with silver paint.

Another departure from the traditional wedding white. The pen and the wood were chosen by the bride and groom.

Olive Wood    
Another departure from the traditional wedding white. The pen and the wood were chosen by the bride and groom. The pen is olive wood from Bethlehem and the stand is olive. The wording on the stand is 1Co 13:4-5 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.

This one was commissioned by a friend to mark the life of the son of another of his friends. The wood for the pen and stand was taken from a piece on their farm.
